What is POP?

POP (People of Peninsula) is Peninsula School's volunteer parent/ guardian and staff association. POP exists to know, support, involve and value all Peninsula families, bringing them closer to the Peninsula experience. POP fosters community involvement and connections, mirroring the experiences and modeling the values Peninsula School provides to our children.

Who is POP?

If you have a child enrolled at Peninsula School, you are automatically a member of POP. We ask all parents to be involved each year - volunteerism is a cornerstone of our community. We recognize everyone brings different skills and time whether it is through our three main Parent Events or a POP Council role - to contribute to the community. This group values authentic connections, community-building, and teamwork. We hope you are eager to join and contribute to our shared commitment to lifelong learning.

How does POP work?

POP works closely with members of Peninsula School staff to support the three main Parent Events each year: Craft Fair, Auction, and Spring Fair. (POP also supports Grandparents and Special Friends Day every few years.) In addition to these large events, POP hosts several smaller soirées for Parent Education and works closely with other community groups in event production. In addition, POP advises Peninsula School Administration on parent interests, manages small fundraising projects, and supports the mentorship of new families.

There are dozens of ways to get involved! We invite you to write Pop@peninsulaschool.org for more information.
